Physicians task force seeks support in LV

The Nevada Medical Liability Physicians Task Force will attend two events in an effort to gather grass-roots support for action by the Nevada Legislature next week in the state's malpractice crisis.

Sponsored by Brown & Partners, a meeting for senior citizens has been scheduled for 7 p.m. today at Sun City Summerlin's Desert Vista Community Center ballroom to show Southern Nevada physicians support. The Resident's Forum of Sun City Summerlin has invited guest speakers from the task force and plans to sign postcards saying, "Help me keep my doctor."

Those cards will be sent to the Legislature, which is scheduled to open a special session Monday.

From 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sunny 106.5 radio and Findlay Auto Group will air a live radio broadcast to urge the community to support the task force efforts. The broadcast is scheduled for Findlay Saab Oldsmobile, 315 Valley Auto Mall Drive, Henderson.
