Valerie Chavez
Valerie Chavez, 10 months, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 15, 2001, in Las Vegas and lived here since birth.
She is survived by her parents, Marco and Maridel Chavez, and one sister, Donnamarie Chavez, all of Las Vegas.
Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday followed by visitation until 8 p.m. at Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.
Patricia Mae Chumbley
Patricia Mae Chumbley, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 19, 1947, in Hammond, Ind. A resident for 30 years, she was a hairdresser at Adams Hair Salon.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis; two daughters, Denise Delgado and Lisa (Scott) Grigoletti of Doleville, Ind., one sister, Lois De Vries; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd.

Jane Ellen Dolan
Jane Ellen Dolan, 67, of Pahrump died Friday in Pahrump. She was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Virginia. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masons, Eastern Star, and completed a year serving as president of the VFW Auxiliary for the state of Nevada.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; three daughters, Kathern Schmidt of Tennessee, Janet Gibbins of Utah and Tresha Dolan of Arizona; one son, Michael Dolan of California; 10 grandchildre; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road.
Doc Hampton Enos
Doc Hampton Enos, 81, of Henderson died Friday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 26, 1920, in Benton, Ark. A resident for eight years, he was a retired inspector for the state of California, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Nevada Seniors Golf Association and a former member of Elks Lodge in Victorville, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; three sons, Richard Bemiller of Camas Valley, Ore., Jerry Bemiller of Roseburg, Ore., and Robert Bemiller of Oceanside, Calif.; three daughters, Janet Cretella of Lancaster, Calif., Patricia Overlock of Mesa, Ariz., and Cynthia Wilson of Las Vegas; and 16 grandchildren.
A chapel service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Solomon Goldin
Solomon Goldin, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Henderson. An insurance salesman, he was born Oct. 11, 1920, in New York.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two sons, Steven Goldin of New York and Mark Luster of Washington state; one daughter, Sondra Anthony of Las Vegas; three sisters, Minna Goldin and Sydel Goldin, both of New York and Mildred Lieberman of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 9:20 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Sarah Greenberg, 59, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 11, 1943, in New York and was disabled.
She is survived by one brother, Howard Weiner of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Laurence E. Guymon, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 15, 1935, in Farmington, N.M. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired casino supervisor and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Chris; two daughters, Leslie Burnham of Kirtland, N.M., and Brenda Guymon of Rockport, Maine; one son, Vince Guymon of Vancouver, Wash.; one stepdaughter, Astrid Barros of Las Vegas; one sister, Jean Bricker of Farmington, N.M.; one brother, Grant Guymon of Santa Fe, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Joyce H. Hatfield, 53, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 13, 1949, in California. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired manager for Pacific Bell.
She is survived by three sons, Chris Colter, Daniel G. Hatfield and Michael Hatfield; two daughters, Jacqueline Hollan and Laurie Zacarias; and four grandchildren.

Melvin F. Hayes
Melvin F. Hayes, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 29, 1923, in Merkel, Texas. A resident for 38 years, he was a golf pro for 22 years at the Las Vegas Municipal Golf Course and a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; one daughter, Megan Smith of Las Vegas; two sons, Colin Hayes of Las Vegas and Michael T. Hayes of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one brother, J.E. Hays of Indiana; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Howard L. Herrold Sr.
Howard L. Herrold Sr., 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 19 years, he was a bus driver for LTR of Las Vegas and Safeway Lines of Los Angeles, an Army veteran, a lifetime member of The Loyal Order of Moose, Santa Monica, CA Lodge 702, a life member of the NLV Elks Lodge 2353 and earned Legend Fellowship Pilgrim Degree Award.
He is survived by his wife, Erma Jane; two daughters, Judy Barron of Fontana, Calif., and Annette Manning of Loveland, Colo.; two sisters, Helen Hoover and Jane Flanders, both of Port Treverton, Pa.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Michael Jezylo and Richard Jezylo Jr., both of Massachusetts; and two daughters, Brenda Lugo of California and Barbara Jezlyo of Massachusetts.

Tammy Jimenez, 34, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 19, 1968, in Maryland. A resident for many years, she was a cocktail waitress at the Rio.
She is survived by her parents, Mildred and Tommy Smith of Las Vegas.

Caroline "Kitty" Junge, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in La Vegas. She was born March 5, 1940, in Sioux City, Iowa. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Schechinger of Harlan, Iowa, and Theresa Nelson of Las Vegas; one son, Steve Junge, and her mother, Mildred Schweitzer, both of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. today in Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 6500 W. Flamingo Road. Burial will be private.

Joseph C. Kenrick, 92, of Las Vegas died July 19 in Las Vegas. He was born July 29, 1909, in England. A resident for 19 years, he was a member of Sam's Town Bowling League and a member of the Royal Air Force in World War II and a Royal Air Force veteran. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie D.; one daughter, June Baird of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Glade Ronald McArthur, 54, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a corrections lieutenant and retired law enforcement officer.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Kay; three daughters, Kristen Freeman of Tampa, Fla., and Megan McArthur and Kari McArthur, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Troy McArthur and Darren McArthur, both of Las Vegas and Matthew McArthur of Ecuador; his father, Therol McArthur of Cedar City, Utah; two sisters, Sharol Janosik of Las Vegas and Tamra Bolander of Sandy, Utah; and eight grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Dora; six sons, Steven, Michael, Andrew and Karl, all of Las Vegas, Joel of Bishop, Calif., and Marty of Simi Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Rose Terry of Las Vegas and Charlene Cole of Palmdale, Calif.; one brother, Arthur of Iowa; one sister, Rita Hanus of Omaha, Neb.; and three grandchildren.

Alice Madonna Pinneo, 88, of Boulder City died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born July 15, 1914, in Emerald, Wis. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Bob Pinneo of McGill and Mike Pinneo of Portola Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen; one son, Manuel Quezada; two daughters, Irene Quezada and Sandra Quezada; one brother, Jesus Quezada; four sisters, Elisa Abarca, Triny Faredes, Juana Quezada-Martinez and Virginia Silva; and three grandchildren.

Frank Henry Rathjen
Frank Henry Rathjen, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 21, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired state highway patrol special officer, a Vietnam War Army veteran and served 17 years in the Nevada Highway Patrol and Public Service Commission.
He is survived by one son, Jeffery Rathjen of Las Vegas; one daughter, Stella Robinson of Orting, Wash.; his mother, Elsie Newschwander of Palm Desert, Calif.; one sister, Marillyn Arturi of Greenwich, Conn.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in Griffith United Methodist Church, 1701 E. Oakey Blvd.

A resident for 16 years, he was a retired senior project engineer and driller at the Nevada Test Site, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and National Rifle Association.
He is survived by four daughters, Helayne Schwichtenberg of Flagstaff, Ariz., Hyalyn Schwichtenberg, Halcyon Schwichtenberg of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Suzanne Schwichtenberg of Helena, Mont.; two sons, Randall Schwichtenberg of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Rustan Schwichtenberg of Great Falls, Mont.; one brother, Duane Schwichtenberg of Lakeland, Fla.; one sister, Doreen Arneson of Black Hawk, S.D.; and two grandchildren.

Clarence I. Snyder, 88, of Waterloo, N.Y., died Friday in Waterloo. He was born in Waterloo. A former Las Vegas resident, he worked at Nellis Air Force Base and was a member of the Elks Club and the chairman of the Eldorado Club in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Floyd; four daughters, Patricia Ortiz of Syracuse, N.Y., Phillis Baity of Seneca Falls, N.Y., Linda Patrick of McCallan, Texas, and Elizabeth Hayes of Lafayette, N.Y.; five sons, Paul of Rochester, N.Y., Philip of Waterloo, Richard and Robin, both of Seneca Falls and Richard Peterson of Baldwinsville, N.Y.
