Three fires remain burning in Nevada - none of them threatening anything.
The Pony Express fire in the Desatoya Mountains 40 miles east of Fallon had blackened 2,000 acres and the Mail Summit fire burned 550 acres five miles west of Hiko in Lincoln County. Both were near containment late Sunday.
The Ellsworth fire 50 miles southeast of Fallon was 40 percent contained at 3,750 acres with full containment expected by Tuesday.
The state's three biggest fires were contained on Saturday.
Six days after it began, a 9,866-acre complex of fires near Topaz Lake on the California-Nevada state line was being demobilized. It burned a barn and a shed.
In southern Nevada, the Lost Cabin blaze 27 miles west of Las Vegas was contained at 4,300 acres with demobilization under way. The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area reopened on Saturday.
And the Eagle fire on the Nevada-Utah line also was surrounded at 8,527 acres.
All were started by lightning over the past 10 days.
