Jack Allen

Jack Allen, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Dec. 3, 1931, in Miami. A resident for 12 years, he was a machine operator in the dairy industry and a Veterans of Foreign Wars past commander.

He is survived by his wife, Antoinette; two daughters, June Norris of Volcano, Hawaii, and Jill Allen of Las Vegas; one son, Jack Allen of Las Vegas; two brothers, Paul Symnes and Elliot Symnes, both of Seattle; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 9:20 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangements.

Elmer L. Bickham Sr.

Elmer L. Bickham Sr., 63, of Pahrump died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 27, 1939, in Bradford County, Pa. A resident for 22 years, he was a forklift operator at a lumber yard and a member of Pahrump El Riata.

He is survived by one daughter, Dixie Eigenrauch of Henderson and Melinda Bickham of New York; four sons, Dick Bickham of New Hampshire, Neal Nicholson of Pahrump, George Bickham of New York and Elmer Bickham Jr. of Nevada; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 5 p.m. Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Meliva Edith Chabrow

Meliva Edith Chabrow, 61, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Pascagoula, Miss. A resident for nine years, she was a retired contracts administrator in the real estate industry.

She is survived by her husband, Jay Wolfe Chabrow; two daughters, Cheryl Lynn Collins of Hawthorne, Calif., and Stacy Rae Dinkel of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Suni Erlanger of Sterling, Va.; one brother, Douglas Saucier of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Temple Beth Am, 9001 Hillpointe Road. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Addona Day-Bradshaw

Addona Day-Bradshaw, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 10, 1936, in California. A resident for many years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by four sons, Phillip Egan, Billy Egan and Joe Egan, all of California, and John Egan of Oregon; one daughter, Janet Patterson of North Carolina; and 13 grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in San Bernardino, Calif.

Adam A. Filippone

Adam A. Filippone, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Ellwood City, Pa. A resident for eight years, he was a retired real estate salesman and a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; one son, Richard W. Filippone of Bloomington, Minn.; one daughter, Debora A. Young of Eden Prairie, Minn.; three stepchildren; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Thomas E. Finucane

Thomas E. Finucane, 70, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 13, 1931, in Ireland. A resident for seven years, he was a retired security officer.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline F.; two daughters, Brenda Fraser and Kathleen Finucane, both of Las Vegas; one son, Patrick Finucane of San Diego; two sisters, Breda Finucane and Miriam Finucane, and one brother, Johnny Finucane, all of Dublin, Ireland; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Dorothy Ann Froelich

Dorothy Ann Froelich, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 30, 1934, in Ohio. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald W.; one son, Daniel R. Froelich of Las Vegas; one sister, Marjorie Dennis of Long Beach, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling local arrangements. All services will be held through Rose Hills Mortuary and Memorial Park, 3888 S. Workman Mill Road, Whittier, CA 90601-1617.

Ana Maria Hernandez

Ana Maria Hernandez, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 26, 1923, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for nine years, she was a retired baker.

She is survived by one son, Absalon G. Hernandez, and one daughter, Orpha T. Hall, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Frank Gonzalez of Colorado and Joe Garza of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Ruth De La Garza of San Diego; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Laura M. Pittman

Laura M. Pittman, 82, of Henderson died Monday in Brea, Calif. She was born Jan. 20, 1920, in South Pasadena, Calif. A resident for 46 years, she was a retired executive assistant for the Clark County School District, a member of PEO and was the daughter of Carl Hyde, for whom the western Las Vegas development Hyde Park was named.

She is survived by one son, Lewis Pittman of Fullerton, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Saturday in St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 43 W. Pacific Ave., Henderson. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Marie H. Rodgers

Marie H. Rodgers, 85, of Boulder City died Wednesday in a local hospital. A resident for six years, she was born March 12, 1917, in Covington Township, Pa.

She is survived by her husband, John A.; one daughter, Nancy M. Richner of Boulder City; one son, John C. Rodgers of Stow, Ohio; one sister, Nina Alexander of Green Cove Spring, Fla.; three brothers, Charles Hoffner and Harry Hoffner, both of Pitcairn, Pa., and Richard Hoffner of Manor, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Faith Christian Church, 1100 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Karla Sue Russo

Karla Sue Russo, 40, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 16, 1961, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a room reservationist at Mandalay Bay.

She is survived by her husband, Nick J.; one stepdaughter, Gianna Russo, and her mother, Nanette Wetkowski, both of Las Vegas; and her father, Karl Wetkowski of Dolan Springs, Ariz.

Visitation was scheduled 30 minutes prior to a 3 p.m. memorial service today at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Betty J. Scherer

Betty J. Scherer, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1922, in Pittsford, N.Y. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired manager of a clothing store.

She is survived by one son, Richard Scherer of Las Vegas; one sister, Harriett Kohl of Hollywood, Fla.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Diana Shikhelman

Diana Shikhelman, 16, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Clark County. She was born Oct. 11, 1985, in the Ukraine. A resident for 11 years, she was a student.

She is survived by her father, Denny Bower of Irvine, Calif.; and one brother, Gary Shikhelman.

Visitation is scheduled noon-12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Graveside services will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Arthur Morrison Shinn Jr.

Arthur Morrison Shinn Jr., 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 16, 1927, in Topeka, Kan. A resident for eight years, he was a member of the Masons and Tuskegee Airmen and was a Boy Scout leader.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; three daughters, Karen Lewis of Cleveland, Peggy Morales of Las Vegas and Deberah Williams of Arizona; five sons, Ronald Shinn and Arthur L. Shinn, both of Ohio and Robert Morales, Herman Morales and Michael DaVila, all of California; two brothers, Jack Shinn of Benea, Ohio, and Michael Shinn of Shaker Heights, Ohio; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled noon-3 p.m. Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Walter H. Shollin Jr.

Walter H. Shollin Jr., 76, of Las Vegas died July 7 in a local hospice. He was born July 30, 1925, in Washington state. A resident for 50 years, he was a bartender.

He is survived by his wife, Nona; one son, Christopher; one daughter, Peggy; one brother, Tom; one sister, Sharon; and four grandchildren.

Wilma R. Walters

Wilma R. Walters, 85, of Las Vegas died July 16 in Las Vegas. She was born March 25, 1917, in California. A resident for 60 years, she was a homemaker and past president of Katherine Senior Center.

She is survived by one son, David Walters of Las Vegas; and one sister, Doris Ranson of Seattle.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Reformation Lutheran Church, 508 E. St. Louis Ave., Las Vegas. Burial will be private. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

William Mark Wardle

William Mark Wardle, 41, of Las Vegas died July 12 in Las Vegas. He was born May 31, 1961, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by his fiancee, Rhonda McCalmont, one daughter, Megan Wardle, and one son, Ian Wardle, all of Florida; three brothers, Michael Wardle, David Wardle and Phillip Wardle, one sister, Melissa Dickinson, and his grandparents, Dan and Maurine Wagg and Doris and Max Winger, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Monday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Tuesday at the Pecos and Osage LDS chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Briaunna Mariah Wilson

Briaunna Mariah Wilson, 5 weeks, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born June 11, 2002, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Counts of Las Vegas; her father, LaMont Wilson of Norwalk, Conn.; two sisters, Vanessa Counts and Ciarra Counts, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Davon Wilson of Las Vegas and LaMont Wilson Jr. and Dante Wilson, both of Norwalk; and her grandparents, Mike and Kim Tubbs of Las Vegas, Kris Lyons of Travers City, Mich., and Beatrice Singleton of Connecticut.

A memorial service will be noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
