StumbleLetter: Don’t expect to be compensated

Does anyone really think the federal government has any intention of compensating Nevada for storing nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain? After all, that is federal land. Has any other state received compensation?
Even if the federal government wanted to pay compensation, it would have to borrow the money to do it. Has anyone noticed the budget surplus has turned into a deficit?
