FRESNO, Calif. -- Catcher David Ross hit two home runs for the second straight game, leading the Las Vegas 51s to their fourth straight victory, 7-2 over the Fresno Grizzlies on Wednesday.
Ross, who also homered twice in Tuesday's 7-6 win, hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning off Fresno starter Jeff Williams. He added a three-run homer in the ninth off reliever Jeff Verplancke.
Ross has six homers in 16 at-bats since returning to the 51s from the L.A. Dodgers Saturday.
Chin-Feng Chen and Mike Kinkade added solo homers for Las Vegas. Chen's was his team-leading 21st, while Kinkade hit his 11th as the PCL South-leading 51s raised their record to 56-42.
Kevin Beirne improved to 8-3, allowing five hits in 7 1/3 innings, and Victor Alvarez finished for his second save.
The 51s and Grizzlies wrap up their four-game series tonight at 7:15, then the 51s return home Friday to begin a four-game set against the Tucson Sidewinders.
