Letter: Bush no stranger to cooking books

I must agree with Carl Ridenour, though I am a liberal, when in his July 12 letter he states that President Bush is the "right person at the right time to do the job."

I agree with him because I realize that if you wanted advice on how to protect a bank from being robbed, the best person to ask would be a bank robber.

By the same token, if you wanted to protect your home from a burglary, you'd get advice from a burglar.

Now that we need someone to tell us how we can prevent the CEOs from cooking the books, we have our president, George W. Bush.
