Letter: Democrats could rescue country

Thirty-odd years ago Richard M. Nixon declared, "I am not a crook."

In retrospect, and by today's standards as demonstrated by the Washington cartel of President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Big Business, Big Oil and Big Energy, he probably was only guilty of petty theft.

The only thing that will save this country is the repeal of the 22nd Amendment, the re-election of Bill Clinton, the elimination of all lobbyists, the institution of term limits, real campaign finance reform, and a takeover of the House by the Democrats.
