Prosecutors in the case of a DEA agent accused of soliciting teenage boys for sex have set a hearing for Thursday to possibly revoke his bail, according to motions filed with District Judge Joseph Bonaventure.
Prosecutors allege Steven Kinney, 42, violated a protective order issued June 2 by Family Court that prohibits him from visiting or removing property from the home he shared with his wife, Ruth. She had called police after finding notes Kinney allegedly threw at boys.
Police said they found Kinney carrying two boxes from the home. His defense attorneys, opposing the revocation of his bail, filed a letter they say was from Ruth Kinney giving Steven Kinney permission to remove the boxes.
At his Nov. 4 trial, Kinney faces 66 counts of attempted sexual assault, attempted statutory sexual seductions, attempted lewdness and solicitation of a minor to engage in acts constituting an infamous crime against nature.
