Ex-UNLV standout Williams to divorce

The actress wife of Diamondbacks third baseman Matt Williams -- a former star at UNLV -- filed for divorce Monday, citing irreconcilable differences after 3 1/2 years.

Williams' second wife has film credits under her maiden name, Michelle Johnson. She made her movie debut in 1984 in "Blame It on Rio" and was in the 2000 football movie "The Replacements."

The demise of Williams' first marriage, which lasted eight years, prompted his trade from Cleveland to Arizona in 1997. He wanted to play in Phoenix so he could be near his children.
