Children can rent their favorite movies and help other kids with the new Blockbuster Kids' Club Program.
For a one-time donation of $1, children under 12 can rent one Kids or Family Blockbuster Favorites VHS rental per day, every day, through Sept. 3.
The proceeds benefit National KidsDay, a Boys & Girls Clubs of America and KidsPeace celebration Aug. 4 to encourage adults and children to spend meaningful time together.
Children also get a Kids' Club Summer Recess Kit, which includes a viewing guide of available movies and information about the Kids' Club, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and National KidsDay.
The second annual National KidsDay this August blossomed from an effort spearheaded by first lady Laura Bush and the U.S. Conference of Mayors to formally recognize children as the "nation's greatest resource" -- the www.kidsday.net website.
