Letter: Man cannot change God
Wednesday, July 10, 2002 | 9:32 a.m.
"What fools ye mortals be ..." All of the hype regarding the 9th Circuit decision to remove "under God" from the "Pledge of Allegiance" is meaningless.
God, according to Genesis, first book of the Bible, is the Creator of heaven and earth. What man writes or decides is irrelevant.
The outrage should be directed towards the theory of evolution, which is taught in school and defies God as the Creator.
How can we remain comfortable with our children being taught that they evolved from "the big bang," yet we're outraged because two men removed "under God" from the "Pledge of Allegiance?" We cannot have it both ways!
God is omnipresent, omnipotent and sovereign.
Man cannot remove Him from anything. He is alpha and omega.
Parents have the responsibility to teach and study the Bible with their children. Why rely on some teacher to pray with your children?
Most of the people who are outraged because of the 9th Circuit's ruling apparently do not know who God is, or what His plan is for all of us.
Read His word and understand that His word and plan are everlasting and man cannot change it, nor the politicians.
