Mildred O. Aguilar

Mildred O. Aguilar, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 13, 1920, in Florence, Ala. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Henry W.; one daughter, Cindy Dunn, one son, Jeff Flippen, and one sister, Kay Newton, all of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Lee Eberly

Lee Eberly, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 13, 1952, in Bloomsburg, Pa. A resident for 24 years, he owned and operated Animal Magic Grooming Shop.

He is survived by his companion, Maury Peck of Las Vegas; and longtime friends, Marty Craven, Toni, Betty, Frank and Joey.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Nevada ASPCA, 4800 W. Dewey Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89118.

Rafael 'Ray' Flores

Rafael "Ray" Flores, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Chicago. A resident for five years, he was a retired draftsman and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy; four sons, Butch of Hobart, Ind., Ron of Frankfort, Ill., and Greg and David, both of Galesburg, Ill.; two daughters, Lisa Cook and Ginger Flores, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, John Flores of Orland Park, Ill., and Veyo Flores of Chicago; two sisters, Lupe De La Paz of Orland Park and Mona Hurtado of Carson, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

James Homer Lawson

James Homer Lawson, 59, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A casino porter and Air Force veteran, he was born Aug. 13, 1942, in Alfex, Ky.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Rasar of Lake Elsinore, Calif., and Cathy Lynn Dale of Las Vegas; his mother, Lexi Lawson of Long Beach, Calif.; two brothers, Levi Lawson of Carson, Calif., and David Lawson of Lakewood, Calif.; four sisters, Jance Belden of Harlston, Texas, Birdie Cash of Kingman, Ariz., Judy Kelly of Excelsior, Mo., and Linda Rasar of Long Beach; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Long Beach.

Herman Lee

Herman Lee, 87, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Chicago. A resident for four years, he was a retired hotel owner-operator.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice; two daughters, Barbara Kern of Las Vegas and Gail Pearl of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one son, Steven Lee of Northbrook, Ill.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 5701 N. Jones Blvd. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to Bet Knesset Barmidbar, 8620 Stone Harbor, Las Vegas, NV 89145.

Isabel Selina Lopez

Isabel Selina Lopez, 37, of Las Vegas died Friday in Sandy Valley. She was born Sept. 13, 1964, in Arizona. A resident for 33 years, she was a clerk at a retail store.

She is survived by one daughter, Sasha Lorraine Lopez; her parents, Arnold Lopez and Frances Ogas; one brother, Arnold Lopez III; and three sisters, Frances Nunez, Analisa Lopez and Nina Raquel Lopez.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Tuesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Jeanette M. Cleasby

Jeanette M. Cleasby, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 2, 1920, in Minnesota. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired cashier in the food industry.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; one son, Darryl, and one daughter, Geraldine, both of Minnesota; and three grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

Ernest McGriff

Ernest McGriff, 63, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 2, 1939, in Dallas. A resident for nine years, he was a cabinetmaker.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Ernest Andre McGriff and Darryl McGriff, both of Las Vegas; four daughters, Ernestine Gill and Kim McGriff, both of Las Vegas, and Frances McGriff and Gina Griffin, both of California; his father, Andre McGriff, one brother, Michael Morrah, and two sisters, Cynthia Cox and Stephanie McGriff, all of California; and 22 grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

John E. O'Connor

John E. O'Connor, 42, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 5, 1959, in Las Vegas. A resident for 25 years, he owned and operated an automotive repair shop.

He is survived by two sons, Christopher O'Connor and Bryce O'Connor, both of Las Vegas; three sisters, Linda O'Connor and Kim Jenkins, both of Anchorage, Alaska, and Janet Kitwiatkowski of Maui, Hawaii; two brothers, Phillip Drollinger of Worland, Wyo., and Mike O'Connor of Anchorage.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Anne Perlsweig

Anne Perlsweig, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Newark, N.J. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Perlsweig of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Marvin 'Duke' Reimer

Marvin "Duke" Reimer, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1922, in Iowa. A resident for 54 years, he was a retired poker dealer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; two sons, Pete and Earl; two daughters, Terry Vanderlip and Marilyn Fenn; two brothers, Dean and Don; two sisters, Dorothy Barton and Audrey; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is arranging private family services.

Charles H. Simpson Sr.

Charles H. Simpson Sr., 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born May 2, 1942, in Maryland. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired high-pressure welder, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Katie; three sons, Charles Jr., Jay and Donald; four daughters, Kerri, Ruth, Katrina and Wendy; two brothers, John and Daniel; one sister, Florence; and 20 grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is arranging private family services.

Wayne C. Waters

Wayne C. Waters, 50, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 5, 1951, in Atmore, Ala. A resident for 26 years, he was a parole officer for Clark County Family Court Services and was head of the audio ministry at Victory Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sabrina; two daughters, Tanisha and Alkennisha; two sons, Kenneth Jr. and Markeith; his mother, Francis Daniels; his father, Gilbert Robinson; nine brothers, Ronald, Thomas, Wayland, Kevin, Alexander, Arie, Ray, Perry and Robert; and two sisters, Stephanie and Sonya.

Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to an 11 a.m. service Tuesday in Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
