There are many dedicated individuals who help the homeless, but Las Vegas does not have a good record in giving assistance and providing shelters to the huge homeless population. The Las Vegas city government turns down many proposals to build shelters for these destitute homeless people. I do not understand this.
There is such a thing as showing humanity to your fellow human beings. When you look into the eyes of a homeless person, who maybe cannot help it, he is in dire conditions.
The Las Vegas city government seems to show a disregard to the fact that these people need food and shelter. It is a sad situation.
