Tiki sale benefits cystic fibrosis
As part of Red Robin's Tiki Time food and beverage celebration, a silent auction for bids in $10 increments will be held for a Tiki log to benefit the Nevada Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The log will be on display through July 21 at 2575 S. Decatur Blvd. The Tiki log was painted by KLAS Channel 8 entertainment reporter Kate Maddox.

SAFE House moves facilities
SAFE House, a nonprofit domestic violence organization, has moved its counseling and advocacy center to 921 American Pacific Drive, Suite 300, Henderson.
SAFE House works to stop abuse in families by providing a 52-bed full-service shelter, counseling for women and children, a comprehensive advocacy program, transitional support services and community education and outreach.
It is also a state-certified treatment program for batterers.
Market Place closes for summer
Bargain enthusiasts will have to shop elsewhere this summer because the Silver State Market Place at Sam Boyd Stadium is on hiatus until October because of the summer heat.
The outdoor swap meet will then operate every weekend through May, except when there are other events scheduled at the stadium.
The Silver State Market Place began last October as a swap meet every third weekend of each month. Hours of operation will remain at 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
General admission is $1 for ages 13 and above. Children 12 and under and parking are free.
Vendor space fees are $15 for reserved and $10 for non-reserved spaces.
Nevada Arts Advocates
will hold its awareness luncheon at noon Tuesday in the Stardust Conference Center, 3000 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Executives will discuss "Corporate Giving to the Arts, Why We Give, Why We Don't." Assemblywoman Vonne Chowning will moderate the panel. For more information, call 362-8885.
