Columnist Peter Benton: Interclub winners announced

Peter Benton's golf column appears Wednesday.
Host pro John Creaney of Las Vegas Country Club led his team to victory in last week's Men's Interclub Tournament.
This event, the third of seven in a series, saw LVCC come in with 259 Stableford points. The top seven of eight scores were used. Team members were Rob Martinez, Russ Olsen, Paul Nelson, Wayne Corona, Glenn Raynes, George Jablon and Bill Lattin.
Spanish Trail placed second with 241 points, with a team featuring director of golf Jerry Roberts, Jim Bianco, Paul Langager, Woody Rossum, Lee Fain, Sam Pizzoferrato, Henry Call and Manny Cimpl.
Rounding out the top three was Canyon Gate Country Club with 230 points. The team consisted of pro Steve Lind and Chris Solari, Mark Hedge, Howard Kaplan, Bill McLeod, Dave Vivian, Paul Mills and George Barnes.
Creaney won top professional honors with 42 points, while Martinez and Dale Clark (Red Rock) shared amateur honors with 43.
The TPC Summerlin, with 696 points, leads the overall standings.
Tying for second with 62 was the team of Frank Larsen, Tim Powers, Steve Yamaguchi and Irv Bronstein and the foursome of Laurie and Leo Durant and Cliff and Larren Buckley.
In low net, Bernie Sindler, Sam Lionel, Bill Champion and John Boyer won with 53.
Tying for second with 54 were Larry Haas, Ken Fleming, Morton Fox and John Payne, and a team featuring George and Linda Jablon, Dayton Blaine and Ken Land.
