Ralph E. Bailey
Ralph E. Bailey, 66, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 28, 1935, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for four years, he was a retired aerospace material manager and a member of the San Pedro Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Geri H.; three sons, Kenneth J. Bailey and William E. Bailey, both of Torrance, Calif., and Michael R. Bailey of Henderson; and one sister, Joyce Morones of Tacoma, Wash.
Visitation was scheduled 2-4 p.m. today with services at 5 p.m. in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Frank Hilton Floyd
Frank Hilton Floyd, 28, of Las Vegas died June 14 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 2, 1973, in New York. A resident for 3 1/2 years, he was a plumber.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; two sons, Joshua Ethan Floyd and Jacob Aaron Floyd, both of Las Vegas; his parents, Thomas Floyd and Elizabeth DiPaola, one brother, Thomas Floyd; and two sisters, Jamie Floyd and Kellie Floyd, all of Florida.
Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, handled private arrangements.
Jose L. Gamboa
Jose L. Gamboa, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1934, in Mexico. A resident for 29 years, he retired from Bally's as a porter after 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Celia De Gamboa; one daughter, Rosa Gamboa, and four sons, Manuel Gamboa, Victor Gamboa, Ricardo Gamboa and Luis Gamboa, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jesus Gamboa of Las Vegas and Juan Gamboa of Pico Rivera, Calif.; one sister, Leonor Lujan of Chula Vista, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Peter L. Hewitt
Peter L. Hewitt, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born March 6, 1935, in Fresno, Calif. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired truck driver and a Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Tina Bates of Las Vegas; four sons, Brian Hewitt of Las Vegas, Curtis Hewitt of Pahrump, Matthew Hewitt of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Melvin Hewitt of Fresno, Calif.; and 17 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to a 9:30 a.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Jeffrey C. Mahan
Jeffrey C. Mahan, 49, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local health care center. He was born Nov. 22, 1952, in Escondido, Calif. A resident for 21 years, he was an owner-operator of a facilities/maintenance firm.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; one daughter, Brandi Mahan of San Diego; one son, Bill Mahan, and his mother, Jane Mahan, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Jan Farley of San Diego; two brothers, Dr. Jack Mahan Jr. of Woodland, Calif., and Jay Mahan of Yorba Linda, Calif.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Spring Valley Baptist Church, 3135 S. Rainbow Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Sunrise Children's Hospital and Medical Center, 3186 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Stuart A. McCarthy
Stuart A. McCarthy, 77, of Goodsprings died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Chicago. A resident since the 1940s, he was a county justice of the peace, a Marine Corps veteran and a lifetime member of the Elks.
He is survived by his companion, JoAnn Jones of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be held prior to services in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Neil I. Pentland
Neil I. Pentland, 79, of Henderson died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 6, 1923, in Canada. A resident for 17 years, he was a World War II veteran of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals.
He is survived by one son, Doug Pentland of Henderson; four daughters, Gwynne Allan of Australia, Judy Rostad of Las Vegas, Laura Orlandos of Henderson and Leanne Vonasek of Texas; two brothers, Harry Pentland of California and Bert Pentland of Canada; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Paul T. Perrotta
Paul T. Perrotta, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 22, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired Navy senior chief petty officer and a Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Laura Kuhns of Coronado, Calif., and Jean Anne Perrotta-Carey of Butte, Mont.; one sister, Alyce Schneider of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Patricia Rivers
Patricia Rivers, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Vancouver, British Columbia. A resident for 26 years, she retired as a bookkeeper from a loan company.
She is survived by one sister, Beatrice Goulbourn of Las Vegas; and one brother, Robert Rivers of Prescott, Ariz.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Margarita Sansano
Margarita Sansano, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 25, 1930, in Havana. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Sergio Sr.; two sons, Sergio Sansano Jr. of Las Vegas and Leonardo Sansano of Cuba; one daughter, Georgina Sansano of Las Vegas; two sisters, Martha Muniz and Mirta Muniz, and two brothers, Jorga Muniz and Phillipe Muniz, all of Cuba; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
