Walnut Recreation center opening set
"Red, White and Splash," a grand opening celebration of the Walnut Recreation Center and Pool will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at 3075 N. Walnut Ave.
The community center features a gymnasium, game room, meeting rooms, a lobby, dance rooms and a weight room. Admission is free. For more information, call 455-8200 or 455-8402.
Auditions for the Arts in the Community:
Salute to Youth, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at North Las Vegas Neighborhood Recreation Center and 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. July 13 at the North Las Vegas Silver Mesa Recreation Center. Call 393-6163.
