Dolores Caldwell
Dolores Caldwell, 64, of Las Vegas died Jan. 23 in Las Vegas. She was born May 4, 1937, in Chicago. A resident for seven years, she was a retired customs inspector.
She is survived by two sons, Klaus Caldwell of Spring, Texas, and Norman Caldwell of Dallas; two brothers, Ellis Boyd of Richmond, Va., and Jerome Boyd of Las Vegas; two sisters, Gloria Weston of Milwaukee and Joanne G. Stewart of Chicago; and three grandsons.
No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Houston. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Thomas J. Cannarozzo
Thomas J. Cannarozzo, 78, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired truck driver, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Bowling Congress.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine; one daughter, Marlene K. Dilley of Las Vegas; two sons, Thomas A. Cannarozzo of Henderson and James J. Cannarozzo of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Jennie Hasenauer, and one brother, James Cannarozzo, both of Rochester; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 9 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Ruby Nadine Elmshaeuser
Ruby Nadine Elmshaeuser, 82, of Boulder City died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 31, 1919, in Panonia, Colo. A resident for five years, she was a retired secretary for the federal government.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Reidenbach of Fairfield, Wash.; two sons, Chuck Stuart of Boulder City and Tom Stuart of Oceanside, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Debbie Sitzman of Lincoln, Neb., and Sally Alberts of Grand Island, Neb.; one stepson, Robert Elmshaeuser of Albuquerque; two sisters, Catherine Rethmeier and Lois Brennan, both of Green Valley, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Denver. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Joseph F. Garcia
Joseph F. Garcia, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 27, 1937, in Montrose, Colo. A resident for 12 years, he was a salesman and a Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; three sons, Joe Garcia Jr. of California, Jean Dumesnil of Salt Lake City, Paul Cummings of Sacramento and Mark Dumesnil of Las Vegas; two daughters, Lorraine Varios of California and Renee Koyonatasu of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A rosary will be 1:15 p.m. Friday followed by Mass at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Marin V. Hernandez
Marin V. Hernandez, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 5, 1928, in Malaga, N.M. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired furniture upholsterer, an Army Air Corps veteran, a life member and Color Guard Commander of American Legion Post 8 and a member of Past Commander Club Post 41 in Phoenix.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; two daughters, Donna Baca and Elizabeth Orona, and three sons, Rudy Hernandez, Gilbert Hernandez and Anthony Hernandez, all of Phoenix; one brother, Amado Hernandez of Artesia, N.M.; two sisters, Francisca Madred of Odessa, Texas, and Trinadad Flores of Roswell, N.M.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Zula Hunt
Zula Hunt, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident of Pahrump for 45 years and most recently a Las Vegas resident, she was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Milfay, Okla.
She is survived by two sons, Terry Simkins of Pahrump and David Simkins of Las Vegas.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Richard M. Jones
Richard M. Jones, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born May 7, 1935, in New Jersey. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired baker and leader of the Dick Jones Combo band.
He is survived by one daughter, Samirah Evans of New Orleans; one son, Richard Tuscher of Las Vegas; three sisters, Gloria Jones and Jackie Evans, both of Cleveland, and Joy Jones of San Diego; and three brothers, Donald Jones, Timothy Jones and Bobby Jones, all of Cleveland.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Leffel David Kyner
Leffel David Kyner, 58, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 9, 1943, in Hayward, Calif. A resident for one year, he was a retired emergency medical technician.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; six sons, David Kyner and Lance Kyner, both of Amargosa Valley, Christopher Kyner of Stockton, Calif., Kevin Kyner and Eric Kyner, both of Las Vegas and Michael Kyner of Death Valley, Calif.; one daughter, Amy Kyner of Las Vegas; his father, Willard Janes Sr. of Stockton, Calif.; two sisters, Deborah Vineyard of Atlanta and Nona Burchard of Stockton; and four grandchildren.

Mishie Stewart Leavitt
Mishie Stewart Leavitt, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1916, in Alamo. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Smith of Las Vegas and Rita Tyrrell of Salt Lake City; four sons, Michael Leavitt of Alamo and John Leavitt, David Leavitt and Daniel Leavitt, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Ronald Stewart and Willard Stewart, both of Las Vegas; 32 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to a 1 p.m. service Saturday in the LDS chapel at Buffalo Drive and Cheyenne Avenue. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers' Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
The family suggests donations to Perpetual Education Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Orville Miller
Orville Miller, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 29, 1922, in Deming, N.M. A resident for one year, he was a retired benefits manager for a pipeline company and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Armstrong of North Las Vegas; one sister, Effie Mae Berry of Vacaville, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is private. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., with graveside services following at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
Scotte Lee Miller
Scotte Lee Miller, 41, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 13, 1960, in Torrance, Calif. A resident for 26 years, he was a construction worker and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Jason Miller, and one daughter, Roslyn Nicole Miller, both of Las Vegas; and his stepfather, John Stewart of Kingman, Ariz.
A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Friday at 7104 Forest Vista St. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Jimmy Morley
Jimmy Morley, 20, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 2, 1982, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a computer science honor student at UNLV.
He is survived by his parents, Patti J. and James P. Morley Jr., and one sister, Nikki L. Morley, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Tom and Dorothy Wilson of Las Vegas and Bill and Rita Burns of Stratford, N.J.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Friday in Trinity Life Center, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ryan M. Paterson, 19, of Longview, Wash., died Tuesday in Longview. A former Las Vegas resident, he was born May 17, 1982, in Portland, Ore.
He is survived by one son, Austin M. Paterson-Swearingen of Portland; his parents, Robert and Tonya Paterson, one sister, Teddee Paterson, and one brother, Robbie Paterson, all of Longview; his grandparents, George Paterson of Portland and Bess and Larry Hale of Phoenix; and the mother of his son, Desiree Swearingen of Portland.

Melvin W. Reed
Melvin W. Reed, 87, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 12, 1914, in Atlanta. A resident for two years, he retired from U.S. Rubber Co. in Detroit as a tire man after 40 years.
He is survived by one daughter, Rosalyn Royal of North Las Vegas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 6 p.m. rosary Friday in St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 820 N. H St. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Lois Renshaw
Lois Renshaw, 62, of Las Vegas, died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 5, 1939, in Baltimore. A retired casino change person, she was a resident for 14 years.
She is survived by her companion, Denver Steele; three sons, Robert Johnson of Maryland, Michael Johnson of Washington and James Johnson of Alabama; and five grandchildren.

Raymond Rivero
Raymond Rivero, 84, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 5, 1917, in Caliente. A lifelong resident of Nevada, he was a retired machine operator, a World War II Army veteran, a veteran of the Nevada National Guard and a member of Teamsters Local 631.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; one sister, Carmen Martinez of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Alfred Rivero of Long Beach, Calif., and Alfonso Rivero of Las Vegas and Frank Rivero of Hesperia, Calif.
A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Aurora Ruiz
Aurora Ruiz, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 24, 1919, in Santiago, Cuba. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired accountant and a member of Our Lady of Charity.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Barbara J. Siminas
Barbara J. Siminas, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. She was born June 26, 1934, in Colorado Springs, Colo. A resident for nine years, she was a retired bank special services representative.
She is survived by two daughters, Katherine Perry of Mesquite and Loriann Siminas of Las Vegas; two sons, Raymond Siminas of Pearl, Miss., and Richard Siminas of Brighton, Colo.; one sister, Betty Dabe of Jamestown, Ohio; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Meridean Melville Staples
Meridean Melville Staples, 76, of St. George, Utah, died Tuesday in a St. George care center. She was born May 6, 1925, in Fillmore, Utah. A former Las Vegas resident, she and her husband managed the Howlett Egg business, she was an employee of St. George City Leisure Services Department, a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and was a founder and volunteer at the St. George Marathon and a volunteer at the St. George Data Entry Center.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jeff.
She is survived by two brothers, Boyd Melville and Ross Melville, both of Fillmore; two sons, Larry Staples of Bloomington, Utah, and Kevin Staples of Mesa, Ariz.; two daughters, Jamie Larsen of Idaho, and Joyce Arend of Kanarraville, Utah; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6:30-8 p.m. Friday in Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George. Additional visitation is scheduled two hours prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday at the LDS chapel, 400 East 100 South. Burial will follow in St. George City Cemetery.
James B. Stepp
James B. Stepp, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 20, 1915, in Georgia. A resident for many years, he was an owner of a snack machine company and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one brother, Albert Stepp of Bennettsville, S.C.
Private graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Ewell Lee Talley
Ewell Lee Talley, 89, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 4, 1912, in Wyoming. A resident for many years, he was a bartender.
He is survived by one daughter, Tory Castellano of Henderson.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Wyoming. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
