La Quinta Corp. has signed a franchise agreement with Hospitality Associates that will add 31 motels throughout the West and Pacific Northwest, including the conversion of three Southern Nevada motels to the La Quinta brand.
An existing 75-room motel at 9570 W. Sahara Ave will reopen as a La Quinta Inn & Suites within the new few weeks, said spokeswoman Teresa Ferguson.
A pair of 59-room motels at 4975 S. Valley View Blvd. and 4288 N. Nellis Blvd. will be also converted to La Quinta Inns, she added. All three properties will remain under the ownership of Hospitality Associates, a Spokane, Wash.-based operator of economy and mid-priced hotels.
Overall, the Dallas-based lodging company plans to open 13 La Quinta Inns and 18 La Quinta Inn & Suites in seven states in an attempt to increase its market share.
La Quinta has three properties in Southern Nevada at 3970 S.Paradise Road, 3782 Las Vegas Blvd. South, and 7101 Cascade Valley Ct.
