Team has high hopes for ‘Only in Las Vegas’

Only in Las Vegas could a behind-the-scenes look at the "Entertainment Capital of the World" be turned into television series.
That's what Chris Harrison of StarCatcher Productions has in mind. His Las Vegas-based company, which operates from Studio 702 on South Valley View Boulevard, plans to produce a series of 26 television shows hosted by John Daly and Brenda Epperson called "Only in Las Vegas."
StarCatcher was one of 80 companies that had hospitality suites at the Venetian hotel-casino during the National Association of Television Program Executives convention that ends today. Harrison, who hopes to begin production of "Only in Las Vegas" in March and have 13 episodes ready by the end of June, said traffic through the suite was brisk as he and his team pitched the series in a five-minute introductory presentation.
"The number of people we saw far exceeded our expectations," Harrison said. "We got a lot of walk-in traffic from people who were intrigued by the name (of the show)."
Daly, the host of "Real TV" and a former news anchor in Las Vegas, and Epperson, formerly one of the stars of "The Young and the Restless," both make their homes in Las Vegas and promise to take viewers to parts of the city they've never seen.
