Auction of classic motorcycles planned

The 11th annual vintage, classic and a special interest motorcycle auction to benefit the Clark County Museum will be 2 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday at the Tropicana hotel.

More than 500 vintage and classic motorcycles will be offered. There will be collectible and rideable BMW's, Harley Davidsons, Hondas, Indians, Kawasakis, Matchless, Nortons, Triumphs, Vincents and more. Admission is $5; children 11 and younger are free.

Annual awards banquet scheduled Saturday

The Nevada State Horsemen's Association will hold its 2001 year-end awards banquet at 5 p.m. Saturday at Big Dog's Restaurant, 6390 W. Sahara Ave.

NSHA Region V will be presenting champion, reserve champion and top five awards to members who have competed in a variety of equestrian events during seven horse shows held last year.

Cost is $20; $12 for children ages 11 and younger; $5 for members who only want to pick up their awards and not attend the dinner. For more information or to make a reservation, call 645-2446.

Training sessions set for day care

The Henderson Allied Community Advocates Family Resource Center will conduct its first quarterly training 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at 145 Panama St., Henderson.

The training session is for those interested in becoming day-care workers or who are interested in using their homes as business sites for licensed home day care.

Drama class offered for children

The Clark County Parks and Recreation's Winchester Community Center is offering a special drama class for children and teens ages 10-16 years old for 12 weeks on Tuesdays for twelve weeks at the Winchester Community Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.

Students will participate in drama exercises, improv techniques, monologue studies, movement techniques, theater skills, and various other techniques utilized by actors, while working towards a final production to be performed on stage before a live audience, in the Winchester Theater. Cost for registration is $45. This fee includes all necessary supplies, snacks, and a T-shirt. Full and partial scholarships may be available through the center. Call 455-7340.

The United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association

and Rebel DanceSport present their January Dance 7-10 p.m. Saturday at UNLV's Moyer Student Union Ballroom. Singles and couples are welcome. Admission is $7. Call 656-8690.
