Walter L. Barnett
Walter L. Barnett, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born June 24, 1931, in Oklahoma City. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired television and radio salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; two daughters, Lou Ann Salsbury of Henderson and Teresa Colby of Las Vegas; one son, Earl Barnett of Las Vegas; one sister, Lucille Kramer of Denver; two brothers, Tony Barnett of Hermitage, Tenn., and Earl Barnett of Broomfield, Colo.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Robert Bauer
Robert Bauer, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 22, 1935, in New York City. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired aviation warehouseman and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Arthur E. Beagley
Arthur E. Beagley, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A chef, he was born May 15, 1934, in Colorado.
He is survived by his companion, Hazel Flippin; two sons, George Beagley of South Dakota and Harlie Beagley of Washington state; one daughter, Tammy Ecott of Nevada; two sisters, Virginia Gregory of Oklahoma and Helen Stramel of Kansas; and eight grandchildren.
Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Audrey L. Cathey
Audrey L. Cathey, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 16, 1933, in Los Angeles. A resident for eight years, she was a retired county social worker.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; three sons, Michael Abreu of Ontario, Calif., Tony Abreu of Covina, Calif., and Jeff Abreu of Phoenix; one daughter, Lori Dickinson of Las Vegas; two sisters, Ellen Golding of North Hollywood, Calif., and Marjorie Hunter of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Irma Cohn
Irma Cohn, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Germany. A resident for 26 years, she was a casino server.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Strange, Peggy Darland and Dinah Smith, all of Las Vegas; two sons, Dan Cohn of Hanover Park, Ill., and Frank Cohn of Las Vegas; one brother, Bob Solomon, and one sister, Wally Markus, both of Michigan; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary chapel, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be private.
Leonard Robert Covel
Leonard Robert Covel, 74, of Las Vegas died Jan. 14 in a local hospital. He was born April 29, 1927, in Ohio. A resident for more than three years, he was a carpet store owner and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; two sons, Jonathan Covel and Gregory Covel; one daughter, Cynthia Covel; one sister, Estelle Borowitz; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 11:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Laurie Lynne Barlow Craig
Laurie Lynne Barlow Craig, 34, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 15, 1967, in Henderson. A former resident of Logandale and St. George, Utah, and most recently a resident of Las Vegas for seven years, she was a social worker.
She is survived by her husband, Steven; one son, Dallas William; her parents, Doug and Susan Barlow, and three brothers, Kent, Steven and Justin, all of Logandale; two sisters, Tracy Christensen of Overton and Carolyn Burkett of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Nola and Warren Spooner of Overton.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Friday in the Logandale LDS Chapel. Burial will follow in Logandale Cemetery. Metcalf Mortuary, 5090 N. Highway 169, Logandale, is handling arrangements.
Bessie E. Harber
Bessie E. Harber, 94, of Hesperia, Calif., died Tuesday in California. She was born Dec. 24, 1907, in New Orleans. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a homemaker and pastor of St. Anthony Spiritual Temple in Las Vegas.
She is survived by one daughter, Warner Robinson of Las Vegas; four sons, Kenneth Matthews and Glenn Jackson, both of Las Vegas, Edward Jackson of Hesperia and Ike Jackson of San Bernardino, Calif.; 29 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
Robert Hobron
Robert Hobron, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 6, 1932, in New London, Conn. A resident for 10 years, he was a teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Winifred.

Richard D. Hobson
Richard D. Hobson, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 18, 1934, in Flint, Mich. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired teacher, a Korean War Marine Corps veteran, was associated with the alumni of the University of Michigan and was a counselor at the Mott Foundation in Flint.
He is survived by his wife, Joann; two daughters, Pamela Joan Hobson and Tracey Ann Leighton, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Clifford Dale Hobson of Flint, Randall Wayne Hobson of Las Vegas and Michael Robert Hobson of Jettenbach, Germany; three sisters, Betty Lewis of Greensburg, Pa., Jill Markey of Clairmont, Fla., and Vickie Boeke of Midland, Mich.; two brothers, James Hobson and Robert Hobson, both of Birch Run, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Freddie Clive Lawrence, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 23, 1921, in Milan, Mo. A resident for four years, he was a retired Army sergeant and World War II and Korean War veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Nickey Ceccarelli of Las Vegas; one brother, Jake Lawrence of Sedalia, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Anna Virginia Layton
Anna Virginia Layton, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born in Marion, Ind. A resident for 39 years, she was a retired hotel cashier.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Mirabelli and Cindy Layton, and one sister, Helen Labadie, all of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lillian Elizabeth Leonard, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 5, 1932, in New York City. A resident for three years, she was a food server.
She is survived by one son, Thomas William Edward; two daughters, Mary Leonard Jackson and Patricia Wallenstein; one brother, Raymond Faherty; one sister, Joan Lodise; and seven grandchildren.

June V. McDonald, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired owner of a tree trimming and removal business.
She is survived by one daughter, Cyd Allred; one brother, Del Bunch Jr.; one grandson and one great-grandchild.

Richard Morgan
Richard Morgan, 90, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 1, 1912, in Frederick, Okla. A resident for 55 years, he was a mason laborer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Masonry Union.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; his companion, Sherry Walker, five daughters, Josephine DeMille, Shirley Stevenson, Debra Morgan, Joyce Moore and Doris Morgan Dobbins, and two sons, Curtis Morgan and James Morgan, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Wallace Morgan of Fresno, Calif.; one sister, Dora Mitchell of Slayton, Texas; 27 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Bertha Oberstein, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Aug. 21, 1914, in New York.

Felix R. Reyes, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 2, 1934, in Puerto Rico. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired taxi driver.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet; four brothers; and four sisters.

Jerome Silverstein, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired sandwich shop owner and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen; one daughter, Patti Berry of Henderson; two sons, Marshall Silverstein of Vista, Calif., and Jan Silverstein of Las Vegas; one brother, Gerald Silverstein of Boynton Beach, Fla.; one sister, Rhoda Rose of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Hertha Stone, 94, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A retired reservationist at the Sands hotel, she was born March 15, 1907, in Germany.

Vonnetta M. Villanueva
Vonnetta M. Villanueva, 49, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 27, 1952, in California. A resident for 20 years, she was a sales clerk at JCPenney for 18 years.
She is survived by her husband, Sal; her mother, Shirley Clancy of Las Vegas; four sisters, Sherry Ryan, Valerie Garcia and Carolyn Wilcox, all of Las Vegas, and Victoria Gonzalez of Los Banos, Calif.; and one brother, Stanley Clancy Jr. of Los Banos.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Ina L. Zipper
Ina L. Zipper, 60, of North Las Vegas died Jan. 12 in North Las Vegas. She was born June 11, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 21 years, she was a member of Parents Without Partners.
She is survived by one son, Brian Zipper of Portland, Ore.; and her parents, Max and Bella Schechter Weiss.
