Robert Dove, a former Senate parliamentarian, has been hired by Nevada Gov. Kenny Guinn to help in the state's effort to stop a nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain.

Dove, an expert on congressional procedure, is being paid $3,000 a month to serve as the state's parliamentary expert, the Washington journal Roll Call reported Thursday.

Bob Loux, executive director of the Nevada Agency for Nuclear Projects, confirmed that Dove had been hired by the state's Washington attorney.
