Letter: Passenger lauds benevolence of CAT bus drivers
Friday, Jan. 18, 2002 | 10:07 a.m.
Regarding Raymond Harbert's Jan. 4 letter about his experience with the CAT bus service on New Year's Eve:
I have been a resident here for almost four years. I have utilized the CAT service fairly frequently. I have found the service and drivers' attitudes extremely above average.
On New Year's Eve, I took a bus from Boulder Highway and Tropicana about 9:15 p.m. to the Strip to meet my husband, who was working at the time. Knowing of the special free-ride offer, I wished to give the driver a tip. However he graciously refused. I was very impressed with his kindness and patience with the many "pick-ups" and "stops" he made.
I was especially grateful for the "free" service that night so I could enjoy the midnight holiday festivities with my husband.
So, I thank the CAT bus service drivers for their exceptional qualities, not only on New Year's Eve and Day, but also all year round!
