Sport: Basketball
Currently: Connors, a 6-2 center, has started all 14 games for the 49ers, averaging 28.8 minutes, second on the team. The Silverado product is third on her squad in points (10.3 per game) and rebounds (5.1 per game) and second in field goal percentage (51.8). Long Beach State, 7-7 overall and 3-1 in the Big West, plays at Cal-State Northridge Friday night.
Looking back: A four-year varsity stalwart for the Skyhawks, Connors graduated as the school's all-time leader in points (1,917) and rebounds (1,009). She led Silverado to four consecutive appearances in the 4A state tournament and three Sunrise titles, and earned second-team Sun all-state honors as a junior and honorable mention all-state recognition as a senior.
