GES creates Vegas service center

An exhibition services company has opened a customer service center in Las Vegas that eventually will provide around-the-clock assistance on events for 36 cities across North America.
A spokeswoman for GES Exposition Services said 50 jobs will be created in Las Vegas as the company gradually rolls out the service for the cities in which GES provides exhibitor support.
The centralized center -- called the GES National Servicenter -- will provide consistency and continuity for GES customers that stage exhibits in different cities across the country, said Sallie Sargent, a company spokeswoman.
Currently, the center is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the company's national headquarters at the Howard Hughes Airpark, south of McCarran International Airport, but after all cities have tied into the center, hours are expected to be expanded.
The Servicenter opened Jan. 4 and all cities will be on line by March 15.
