Letter: Clinton basher deserved worse
Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 | 4:26 a.m.
Julia Gorin's opinion piece in the Jan. 6 Review-Journal was an irresponsible and malicious column on the sad death of the Clintons' dog, Buddy. Brian Greenspun's Jan. 8 column, responding to Gorin, was too kind, by far. Comparing Gorin to an animal denigrates the entire animal kingdom.
Obviously, Gorin's development was arrested in an embryonic stage, due to a sluggish thyroid, no doubt.
Cretinism, it is said, can often be cured by iodine. If true, I'll gladly spring for the giant economy-size bottle.
As for the Review-Journal -- I can't wait for the next column by Tom Mitchell on the high standards of excellence that "his" paper observes so closely.
