Max K. Barton

Max K. Barton, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 22, 1920, in Milford, Utah. A resident for 47 years, he was a truck driver, an employee of the iron mine in Cedar City, Utah, and opened Las Vegas Diesel Service and Las Vegas' first drive line service company.

He is survived by two daughters, MaryLue Turpin and Elois Beaty, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Gaylard Barton of Hurricane, Utah, and Brent M. Barton of Las Vegas; one brother, George Cleo Barton of Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to a 10:30 a.m. service Saturday in the LDS Lake Stake Center, 1801 S. Monte Cristo. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Cedar City Cemetery.

Helen Adelaide Boyer

Helen Adelaide Boyer, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 25, 1918, in Chicago. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Warner of Las Vegas and Colette Noble of Placerville, Calif.; one son, Robert Boyer of Fallbrook, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Elizabeth Rome Chu

Elizabeth Rome Chu, 31, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 11, 1969, in Taiwan. A resident for 15 years, she was a hotel office manager.

She is survived by her father, Tuan Chu, and her mother, Lan-Ling Chu, both of Las Vegas; and four sisters, Angela Chu of Los Angeles, Bonnie Chu of Las Vegas, En-Chi Connors of Minneapolis and Diana Chu of Taiwan.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Agnes A. Davis

Agnes A. Davis, 94, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born April 25, 1907, in Hutchinson, Kan. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired chef.

She is survived by one son, Clyde Davis of Las Vegas; three daughters, Lola Bishop of Sunland, Calif., Frances Moe of Las Vegas and Nancy Arneklev of Plentywood, Mont.; one sister, Ellen Keithe of Houston; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Nancy Maria Delegge

Nancy Maria Delegge, 50, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born April 4, 1951, in New York. A resident for six years, she was in advertising.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Delegge of Simi Valley, Calif., and Donald "Bugs" Delegge of Las Vegas; one daughter, Andrea Hinojosa of Las Vegas; her father, Richard Loehr of New York; two brothers, Rick Loehr of Moorpark, Calif., and Tom Loehr of New York; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Harding P. Flores

Harding P. Flores, 69, of Highland, Ill., died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 25, 1932, in the Philippines. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired dispatcher for Republic Services and a member of Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by two daughters, Eleanor DePew of Highland and Janet R. Heeter of Hurst, Texas; two sisters, Lina Ricardo and Loretta Abella, both of California; and four granddaughters.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Vincent J. Folgarelli

Vincent J. Folgarelli, 87, of Boulder City died Saturday in Henderson. A postal employee, he was born July 16, 1914, in Detroit.

He is survived by his wife, Genevieve; two sons, Lee Newfield and Robert W. Newfield, one daughter, Claudia A. Sparks, and one sister, Louise Brown, all of California.

Gordon Gibbs

Gordon Gibbs, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Henderson. He was born May 10, 1925, in Texas. A resident for 39 years, he was a keno writer and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by five sons, Bobby Gibbs of California and Jim Gibbs, Tager Gibbs, Tony Gibbs and William Gibbs, all of Nevada; three daughters, Pam Bremhall, Pat Mazner and Allene M. Vassar, all of Nevada; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-10 a.m. Jan. 11 in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at noon Jan. 11 in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Michael Scott Jordan

Michael Scott Jordan, 41, of Pahrump died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 3, 1960, in Los Angeles. A resident for one year, he was a laborer for a dog kennel and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his partner, Corey Tate of Pahrump; his parents, Willard and Linda Jordan, and one brother, Danny Jordan, all of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and three sisters, Kelly Williams and Pamela Potts, both of Huntington Beach, and Lucinda Flaskerud of Laguna Hills, Calif.

Howard A. LaGrone

Howard A. LaGrone, 81, of North Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 9, 1920, in Marshall, Texas. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired sanitation engineer and a member of the Doolittle Senior Center.

He is survived by one daughter, Sandra West, and one son, Mack West, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Zetha Smith of Hallsville, Texas, Velma Ruth Tucker of Marshall, Texas, Arthurine Smith of Riverside, Calif., and Izella Woodard of Glendora, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park.

Nancy Meisenbacher

Nancy Meisenbacher, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Clarkson, Pa. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired manufacturing worker.

She is survived by two sons, Clifford Dorsey and Mike Dorsey; two sisters, Virginia Belson and Rae Squire; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Sun City Community Church, 8560 Del Webb Blvd. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Fred Moore

Fred Moore, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Marble, Colo. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired Air Force chief master sergeant and World War II and Vietnam War veteran, a member of the 5th Air Force Association and the 345th Bomb Group Association.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; one daughter, Patrice McAllister of Tucson; one son, Michael Moore of Nevada; and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be 8 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Josephine Carinio Padernal

Josephine Carinio Padernal, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 12, 1936, in Honolulu. A resident for three years, she was in quality control in the electronics field.

She is survived by her companion, Reno Cadirao of Las Vegas; two daughters, Beatrice Quioco and Sissy Bustamante, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Lloyd Quioco of Hayward, Calif., and Leonard Padernal of Las Vegas; one brother, Stan Carinio of Los Angeles; three sisters, Maria Respecio of Delano, Calif., Carmen Bass of Los Angeles and Connie Wise of Hayward; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Wednesday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Marjorie M. Prose

Marjorie M. Prose, 84, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Dec. 9, 1917, in Kyoto, Japan. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired civil service historian.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Gidion of Poulsbo, Wash.; one son, Gerald Prose of Henderson; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 11:20 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Pamela 'Sahajo' Pruyt

Pamela "Sahajo" Pruyt, 48, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born Jan. 26, 1953, in San Francisco. A resident for four years, she was a bookkeeper.

She is survived by her mother, Amy Lovelace-Hall of Henderson; her father, Ira Phelps of Bellingham, Wash.; one sister, Stephanie Milloy of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Tony Pinneri of Las Vegas and Tim Phelps.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Church of Religious Science, 1420 E. Harmon Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

J. Raymond Schreiber

J. Raymond Schreiber, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 9, 1915, in Elizabeth, N.J. A resident for seven years, he was a retired federal government Naval weapons engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; one daughter, Leslie R. Foster of Wichita, Kan.; two sons, Stephen J. Schreiber of Houston and Duane A. Schreiber of Prunedale, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Dale Wallace II

Dale Wallace II, 40, of Las Vegas died Dec. 6 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 10, 1961, in Richmond, Ind. A resident for 11 years, he was a project supervisor for Nevada Power Co. and active in the scouting program through his church.

He is survived by his wife, Angie; one son, Christopher Patrick, and three daughters, Heather Megan, Shannon Rebecca and Abigail Leigh, all of Las Vegas; his father, D.J. Wallace of Cedar City, Utah; his mother, Patricia Brovosky of Brooksville, Fla.; three sisters, Cindy Niehaus of Kentucky, Anjanette Davis of Las Vegas and Colette Wallace of Cedar City; three brothers, Jon Brawley, Aaron Wallace of Alaska and Collin Wallace of Cedar City; and his grandmother, Helen Weiser of Brooksville, Fla.

Visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to 11 a.m. services Thursday in the LDS Casa Loma chapel, 1825 N. Hollywood Blvd. Burial will follow in Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.

John C. Williams Sr.

John C. Williams Sr., 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 8, 1922, in South Charleston, W.Va. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired telephone repairman, a World War II Army veteran and ex-president of the Meadows Homeowners Association.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; three sons, John Williams Jr. of Las Vegas, Kenneth Williams of Mineola, N.Y., and Larry Williams of Goldsboro, N.C.; two stepsons, Ted Kavich of Waterloo, Ala., and Robert Kavich of Lockport, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Graveside services will be 8 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Douglas Frank Wiseman

Douglas Frank Wiseman, 52, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 16, 1949, in St. George, Utah. A resident for 47 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by one son, Eric Wiseman of Las Vegas; his mother, Helen Wiseman of North Las Vegas; three brothers, Robert Wiseman of Montrose, Colo., and Dick Wiseman and Jeff Wiseman, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Sharon Turnbaugh of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
