Electronics retailer Good Guys said it will close eight under-performing stores, including its 3778 S. Maryland Parkway outlet in Las Vegas.
Spokesman Ken Cook said the closure, expected by the end of February, would affect about 35 employees in Las Vegas.
Two other Good Guys stores in the Valley, 4580 W. Sahara Ave. in Las Vegas and 621 Mall Ring Circle in Henderson, will remain open, as will a Reno outlet.
"We'll be looking at all key employees and virtually all of them will have the opportunity to transfer to other stores," Cook said. "Low volume and unprofitable stores are being closed."
Good Guys said eight stores are closing. Others are in Washington, Oregon and California.
