DALLAS -- American Airlines' parent company said today it expects to post a "sizable" loss in the first quarter and probably a second straight money-losing year.
AMR lost $798 million in the fourth quarter of 2001. The company said it couldn't provide a better estimate of the 2002 losses as business remains weak.
