Shopping promotion supported

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority will publicize a shopping promotion between the American Automobile Association and six Southern Nevada shopping malls.

The AAA program offers a book with discounts and special offers at stores at the Boulevard Mall, Desert Passage, Fashion Outlets Las Vegas in Primm, Fashion Show, Galleria at Sunset and the Showcase Mall.

Members of AAA can request the discount book by showing a membership card at the malls.

The LVCVA agreed to promote the book in press releases and on its vegasfreedom.com Internet site because shopping has become an important part of the Las Vegas visitor experience, a spokeswoman said.
