Rebels sign recruit from Rhode Island

UNLV's football team signed another prep football prospect this week.

Ryan Heise (6-3, 250), a defensive lineman and long snapper from Naval Academy Prep School in Providence, R.I., signed with the Rebels and will enroll in the fall semester.

Heise's father, Terry, sent UNLV a videotape touting his son. The school liked what it saw and brought Heise out for a recruiting visit. He signed over the weekend, choosing UNLV over Northwestern and Toledo.
