Five Southern Nevada contractors lose licenses

The Nevada State Contractors Board revoked the licenses of four Las Vegas area contractors and one Pahrump-based contractor and took disciplinary action against three other Las Vegas contractors last week, accusing them of violating state construction laws.

Cambridge Development owner Patrick Lundy said he was wrongfully accused of contracting in excess of a $250,000 limit on his contractors' license. He said a license isn't required and license limits don't apply in Nevada if a contractor is building a residence for himself.
The other disciplined contractors could not be reached for comment.
