HONOLULU -- The UNLV men's golf team added one stroke to its second-round total at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate on Thursday, faring much better than most of the 20-team field. The Rebels climbed from fifth place to third and sit just 10 strokes out of first heading into today's final round.
At 7-under for the tourney, San Diego State leads second-place Auburn by seven shots and the Rebels by 10.
The Aztecs' John Lieber remains the individual leader, holding a two-stroke edge over Auburn's Kevin Haefner and a five-stroke advantage over the Rebels' Ryan Moore.
