Highlights of fiscal 2001 gross and net profits report on Nevada casinos

Here are area-by-area details from the state Gaming Control Board's report on fiscal 2001 gross and net pretax profits for 247 major Nevada casinos:
- STATEWIDE: $554.4 million net, or 3.1 percent of $18.1 billion gross.
- LAS VEGAS STRIP: Grossed $10.57 billion and netted $388.1 million.
- DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS: Grossed $1.1 billion and reported net profits of $20.8 million.
- LAUGHLIN: Grossed $853 million and netted $22.5 million.
-BOULDER STRIP: Grossed $823.8 million and reported a net income of $24.2 million.
-OTHER CLARK CO. CLUBS: Grossed $1.62 billion and reported a net loss of $53.4 million.
- RENO-SPARKS: Grossed $1.74 billion and netted $53.4 million.
-NORTH TAHOE, OTHER WASHOE CO. CLUBS: Grossed $233 million and netted $19.9 million.
- STATELINE: Grossed $548.5 million and netted $43 million.
- ELKO COUNTY: Grossed $329.3 million and netted $16 million.
- CARSON-GARDNERVILLE: Grossed $132.4 million and netted $8.5 million.
