Meadows wins trip to nationals
The Meadows School will compete May 3-6 at the National Science Bowl in Chevy Chase, Md.

The Meadows squad of Matthew Swetnam, Patrick Hummel, Heather Cringan, Alan Micev and Mark Russell is coached by teacher John Milburn. In the final round, they defeated four-time champion Reno High School Team A.
Green Valley High School finished third.
The Meadows team won $2,500 for its math and science departments, matching team bookbags and the trip to the nationals. There the local squad will answer questions on a variety of science subjects, including astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics.
