Police: Self-defense probable cause in killing
Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 | 10:02 a.m.
Metro Police say a man appears to have acted in self defense Thursday night when he stabbed his girlfriend's estranged husband to death.
Mark A. Frazer, 33, of Las Vegas, went to his estranged wife's home in the 4200 block of South Valley View Boulevard near Flamingo Road about 7:30 p.m. and started arguing with her, police said.
Frazer apparently had a tire iron and witnesses told police he was chasing the woman, Lt. Tom Monahan said.
The woman's boyfriend armed with a knife confronted Frazer, who was stabbed during the fight, police said.
Frazer and the woman had been separated for several months.
The boyfriend was not arrested Thursday night as police believe he may have acted in self defense. His name was not released.
The case will be forwarded to the Clark County District Attorney's Office to determine if any charges should be filed against the boyfriend, Monahan said.
