Albertson's Inc. of Boise, Idaho, said it closed an underperforming store in Las Vegas at 1200 S. Decatur Blvd., near Charleston Boulevard.
Miguel Gutierrez, Albertson's spokesman, said the company also opened a store recently at 8410 Farm Road in Northwest Las Vegas.
The closure was the second in six months in Las Vegas. A store at 3736 E. Desert Inn Road was closed June 11, and was replaced by a new store at 2885 E. Desert Inn Road.
Gutierrez said the majority of the 75-100 workers at each of the two closed stores were either placed at the new stores or other stores in the vicinity.
