Henderson sets several events
The Henderson Police Department has planned three fund-raisers to help Officer Mark Hosaka, who was diagnosed in December with pancreatic cancer. He begins radiation and chemotherapy next month.
A "Bowl-a-Thon" will be held 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at Sunset Lanes, 4451 E. Sunset Road, Henderson. Participants are asked to donate $30 apiece to cover three games of bowling, shoes, lunch, a T-shirt and a raffle ticket for prizes. Desert Rose Salon, 331 S. Water St., Henderson, is holding a benefit for Hosaka Feb. 24. Services including haircuts, manicures and chair massages will be provided, with proceeds going to the Hosaka account. Call 719-7673 for an appointment.
A motorcycle run and barbecue will be held 9-11 a.m. March 3 in the parking lot of Henderson City Hall, 240 S. Water St. Participants are asked to donate $15 per rider and $10 per passenger. The event will include a ride through various locations, barbecue and raffle at the Lake Mead Lounge, 846 E. Lake Mead Drive, Henderson. For more information call Sgt. Rob McCorkle, 616-8429.
Fellowship dinner planned March 15
The Las Vegas Art Museum and the Desert Sculptors Association invite all Southern Nevada artists to participate in the first Fellowship Dinner March 15 at the Plaza hotel, Triple Crown Ballrooms 8 and 9.
Cocktails are 6 p.m.; dinner is at 7. Attire is semi-formal. The cost is $20 to be paid before Feb. 20. For reservations and more information, call the art museum, 360-8000, or Desert Sculptors, 452-0292.

Moenkopi Morning: A 1 1/2 mile easy hike Wednesday.
