Vegas gas prices increasing

Gasoline prices in Las Vegas continue to ease upward, rising 4 cents over the last month to $1.22 for a gallon of self serve. Statewide, prices rose 1 cent to $1.25, AAA Nevada said Tuesday.
Prices in Reno rose 3 cents to $1.27 over last month and Carson City saw a drop of 1 cent to $1.28. Despite the hikes, AAA said the state is seeing the lowest gas prices in three years with the trend likely to continue throughout the first quarter, followed by a late-spring increase that will be less extreme than in past years.
AAA Nevada said strong inventories of both crude oil and gasoline in the United States should forestall an increase in retail prices.
