DETROIT -- A tribe that won a court ruling declaring the city's gambling ordinance unconstitutional asked regulators Tuesday to order a takeover of Detroit's three casinos.
The Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians told the Michigan Gaming Control Board that it should name a conservator to run the Greektown, MGM Grand and MotorCity casinos.
The board did not publicly comment on the request, instead voting to begin a closed session to discuss the court case.
