Federico C. Abad
Federico C. Abad, 57, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 23, 1944, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for 3 1/2 years, he was a retired airport baggage handler.
He is survived by two daughters, Maria Christina Shrawder and Rosemarie Zapata, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Flora Nolasco of San Francisco; four sisters, Flora Nolasco and Juanita Abad, both of San Francisco, Esther McDole of Long Beach and Concepcion Panibio of the Philippines; three brothers, Daniel Abad, Antonio Abad and Lorenzo Abad, all of the Philippines; and seven grandchildren.
No services are scheduled. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
Mary Jean Aiken
Mary Jean Aiken, 75, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 7, 1926, in Utah. A resident for 38 years, she was a furrier and a member of the Elks.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosemary Walker.
She is survived by her husband, Donald "Bernell"; one stepdaughter, Mickie Hansen of Manti, Utah; one sister, Kathy Simmons of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services and burial will be in Beaver, Utah.
Eva Artus
Eva Artus, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 8, 1934, in the Philippines. A resident for four years, she was a retired teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Manolito; one son, Raymund Artus of Las Vegas; four sisters, Norma Galman of Fairfield, Ohio, Emy Dario and Maria Albis, both of Santa Clarita, Calif., and Bernadetto Fajardo of Mililani, Hawaii; and four brothers, Cesar Dario of Cincinnati, Roger Dario of Napa Valley, Calif., Danilo Dario of San Jose, Calif., and Ramon Dario of Santa Clarita.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. memorial service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Robert L. Bargielski
Robert L. Bargielski, 52, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 3, 1949, in Erie, Pa. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired carpenter and Vietnam War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his father, Stanley J. Bargielski of Ontario, Calif.; and one brother, David A. Bargielski of Las Vegas.
Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services followed in Palm Memorial Park.

George Rowland Child Jr.
George Rowland Child Jr., 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 24, 1932, in LaPorte, Minn. A resident for 30 years, he retired as an Air Force master sergeant after 26 years of service and was a Korean War veteran who served in England and Greece, a volunteer at Nellis Air Force Base pharmacy since 1988, a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, the Buick Riviera Club and local Buick club.
He is survived by his wife, Rose A.; one daughter, Shelley Peck of Bakersfield, Calif.; two sons, Craig Child of Puyallup, Wash., Jeffrey Child of San Ramon, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Patricia Slack, and one stepson, Theodore Tully, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Maurice Child of Hemet, Calif.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Marcus James Clark
Marcus James Clark, 8, of Carson City and Las Vegas died Tuesday in a Reno hospital. He was born March 21, 1993, in Carson City. He was an elementary school student.
He is survived by his mother, Lisa Clark, and two brothers, Dean Pizzoferrato and Chace Clark, all of Las Vegas; his father, Mark Clark of Carson City; and his grandparents, Teresa Mauro of Las Vegas and Jim and Karen Clark of Carson City.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Russell Wayne Decker
Russell Wayne Decker, 76, of Las Vegas died Feb. 6 in a local hospital. He was born April 2, 1925, in Cordell, Okla. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired carpenter, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Carpenters Local 1977.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one son, Dwayne Stanley of Albany, Ore.; two stepsons, Clifford Lennon and Stephen Lennon, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Hazel Colbert of Oregon; and one granddaughter.

Jeanine Dempsey, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 9, 1922, in France. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Riley; and one son, Louis.
Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Jaydan Gossard
Jaydan Gossard, 3 months, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 30, 2001, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his mother, Serena Gossard, his father, Michael Mays, four brothers, John Covin, Melvin Ramsey, Jordan Ramsey and Tre Ramsey, and one sister, Lexus Ramsey, all of Las Vegas.
Services were scheduled at noon today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial followed at 1 p.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Edween Haven
Edween Haven, 95, of Las Vegas died Monday in Grosse Ile, Mich. She was born May 3, 1906, in Green County, Ill. A resident for 53 years, she was employed in the fashion industry.
She is survived by one daughter, Edween Collsart of Grosse Ile; 11 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Newton E. Howe
Newton E. Howe, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. Born Sept. 6, 1914, in Weld, Colo., he was a retired county administrator.
He is survived by one daughter, Catherine Howe of Las Vegas; and one son, Stephen Howe of Denver.

Patsy Ruth Jones-Redmond
Patsy Ruth Jones-Redmond, 60, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 15, 1942, in Mississippi. A resident for 39 years, she was a supervisor in education.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Redmond; two sons, Christopher Lamar Jones and John B. Jones, and two daughters, Brenda K. DuBose and Seneca R. Atkinson, all of Las Vegas; her mother, Nadine Ward of Mississippi; four brothers, Major Boyd of Mississippi, Freddie Ward and Robery Jackson, both of Las Vegas, and Howard Ward of Washington state; five sisters, Flossie Layne, Fernetta Cason and E'Vetta Jackson-Hooks, all of Las Vegas, and Vivian Rose Patrick and Recita Brown, both of Mississippi; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Portals to Glory Church of God in Christ, 2301 Comstock Drive. Entombment will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Main St.
Millie Kotvan
Millie Kotvan, 85, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born May 13, 1916, in Cincinnati. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Donald C. Kotvan of Henderson; three sisters, Anne Sperando of Bullhead City, Ariz.; Mary Discipio of LaGrange Park, Ill., and Nikki Cantalup of Henderson; and one grandchild.

Dominic Massimo
Dominic Massimo, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 8, 1917,in Colver, Pa. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired tool and die maker in the aerospace industry and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Constance Massimo, and one son, Eugene Massimo, both of Hawthorne, Calif.; three brothers, Ernest Massimo of Waukegan, Ill., Dino Massimo of Beach Park, Ill., and Carl Massimo of Tirehill, Pa.; one sister, Clara Blough of Tirehill; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ruby Dell McCorkle
Ruby Dell McCorkle, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born July 18, 1919, in Frederick, Okla. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired show reservations clerk for several hotels, including the Frontier.
She is survived by one sister, Joyce Morris; two daughters, Reida Linebarger and Diana McCorkle; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Estelle Miller
Estelle Miller, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 20, 1921, in Chicago. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired waitress.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois Spalding of Las Vegas and Wendy Miller of Los Angeles; two brothers, Leon Kagan of Palm Desert, Calif., and Julius Kagan of Skokie, Ill.; one sister, Dorothy Berman of Poway, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Judith L. Montoya, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 29, 1938, in Oklahoma. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel; three sons, Chris Kelley of Burbank, Calif., Stephen L. Kelley of Newhall, Calif., and Matthew Montoya of San Diego; her father, Raymond Johnson of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Dorothy Jean Ohman, 58, of Pahrump died Monday in a local hospital. She was born March 19, 1943, in Caldwell, Ohio. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; four children, Terri Lynn Mickey of Canton, Ohio, and Billie Jo Orzo, Stacy Lou Goodwin and Tammy Sue Goodwin, all of Alliance, Ohio; her parents, Henry and Dorothy Tucker of Ocala, Fla.; three brothers, Thomas N. Tucker of Alliance, John A. Tucker of Orlando, Fla., and Henry D. Tucker of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister, Pamela L. Myers of Ocala; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Estell Pack, 100, of Boulder City died Sunday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Oct. 9, 1901, in West Virginia.
She is survived by three daughters, Loretta Hinmon-Silvers of Henderson, Dovetta Lee of Las Vegas and Ida Patterson of California; 28 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Edward Waldman
Edward Waldman, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 2, 1923, in New York City. A resident for five years, he was a retired salesman and a World War II Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; two daughters, Jeannette Calloway of Lyles, Tenn., and Rebecca Waldman of Pomona, Calif.; one son, Henry Waldman of West Covina, Calif.; and one brother, Howard Waldman of Germany.

Charles J. Williams, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 30, 1923, in Savannah, Ga. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired electronics technician, a World War II and Korean War Army veteran, a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline; three daughters, Angela Williams of San Diego and Elizabeth Williams and Julie Williams, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Kevin Williams, Mark Williams and Roger Williams, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Richard Williams of Savannah and Harold Williams of Little Rock, Ark.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Graveside services will follow at noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
