Man wounded in shooting dies

A 38-year-old Las Vegas man shot Jan. 25 during a fight in the parking lot of a Flamingo Road restaurant has died, Metro Police said.

Gheorghe Bogdan was at a private party at the Kitchen Cafe on Flamingo Road near Decatur Boulevard last month when a fight began outside, according to Metro Lt. Tom Monahan. He said that at some point a gunshot was fired.

Bogdan apparently didn't realized he had been shot until he got home. He then went to UMC with a gunshot wound in his thigh. Bogdan died Saturday about 4 p.m. Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Metro's homicide unit at 229-3521 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
