Metro Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a series of commercial robberies in Las Vegas over the past two months.

Keith E. Brooks, 45, is wanted in connection with five counts of robbery one count of attempted robbery and six counts of burglary all with a weapon, police said.

Brooks is described as black, with a light complexion, 6 feet, 195 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He also has a mustache and wears his hair very short.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Brooks is asked to call police at 229-3111 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.

Residents can tape reponse to Bush

Southern Nevada residents will have a chance to speak on the proposed Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository via videotape.

Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman said that cameras will be set up on the 10th floor of City Hall at Stewart Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard South today and Wednesday.

Residents will have 30 seconds to tape their message to President Bush on the plan to store 77,000 tons of highly radioactive waste 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas.

Taping began at 8 a.m. today and will continue until 5 p.m. On Wednesday cameras will be available 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dunn said.
