LV tortilla production to expand

Two companies -- Aranda's Tortilla Factory and Tortilla's Inc.-- will soon open new production operations in Las Vegas producing a variety of tortillas, salsas, chips and other Hispanic food products.
The Aranda family, which also has tortilla plants in California, will open an 18,000-square-foot plant at 2912 N. Commerce St. that is expected to employ about 50.
And Tortilla's Inc. owners Jose Gutierrez and his son, Gustavo, will expand their 22-year old Las Vegas business with the May or June opening of a 20,000-square-foot plant at 3955 Puebla Dr. that will have about 60 employees.
