Health care product planned

Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002 | 10 a.m.

A health care savings and benefit plan could be made available to Nevada State Bank customers by the end of this year, an executive from the bank's parent company said Monday.

Salt Lake City-based Zions Bancorporation on Monday unveiled a partnership between its Zions First National Bank affiliate and MinervaHealth, a Jackson, Wyo.-based health care provider. The deal allows bank customers to finance their health care purchases through MinervaHealth's provider network by establishing special line-of-credit and deposit accounts.

Thomas B. Morgan, an executive vice president of Zions Management Services Co., a subsidiary of Zions Bancorporation, said Monday his organization intends to offer MinervaHealth's services company-wide once the product has been field tested at Zions First National.

No official date has been scheduled, but Morgan estimated testing would conclude in time for a wider release later this year.
