Two Texas A&M home runs powered the Aggies past the UNLV softball team, 6-2, in the Rebels' final game of the Arizona State Fiesta Bowl Tournament on Sunday.
After taking an early 2-0 lead, the Aggies (4-3) used a pair of long balls to hold UNLV (3-4) at bay. Catcher Selena Collins hit the first off Rebel freshman Jackie Kerrigan, a two-run bomb in the fourth to put A&M up, 4-0.
On Saturday, UNLV defeated 24th-ranked Massachusetts, 6-4, then lost to No. 5 California, 5-0.
