Neonopolis gets second anchor

Jillian's, an entertainment complex, is the second anchor tenant signed for the Neonopolis project, slated to open May 2.
Chardell Steves, leasing agent for the Neonopolis, the $99 million, 240,000-square-foot project being built at the corner of Fremont Street and Las Vegas Boulevard -- said Jillian's "can bring a lot to the table."
Jillian's, a Louisville, Ky.-based chain which has stores in more than 40 U.S. cities, will house a restaurant, bowling lanes, billiards tables, a dance club and live music.
Steves said only a few large spaces at Neonopolis remain available, though she did not provide specifics.
Crown Theatres, the first anchor tenant, was signed this past summer. Crown plans to operate a 14-screen theater that encompasses 71,203 square feet of the three-level project.
Other tenants include ARK Restaurants -- which has locations inside The Venetian, Desert Passage and the Forum Shops at Caesars -- La Salsa, Panda Express, Wetzel's Pretzels and Muscle Beach Lemonade, which includes Hot Dog on a Stick.
"It's going to be extremely successful," Steves said of the project. "I think it's a great project, and we're going to bring so much to downtown Las Vegas."
