Letter: Commissioners do the right thing on Tyson’s bid

I wish to commend the four members of the Nevada Athletic Commission who voted to refuse Mike Tyson a boxing license. I know that the pressure upon them to allow this "animal" to fight here was tremendous -- due to the fact that it has become "passe" to allow money to talk among much of the general populace.

Nevada, in general, and Las Vegas, in particular, have often "earned" the reputation that we are less than honorable and also an unwholesome place to live and raise a family.

Four members of the Nevada Athletic Commission have seen fit to show that, at times, integrity and honor still count for something, and the graft and corruption caused by greed do not always win.
